STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) tutor of all ages

I have over 4 years tutoring and teaching experience in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) subjects and my teaching dynamics are as follows;

I adopt a structured plan to engage students and facilitate comprehension beginning with a warm greeting, stating clear learning objectives, and incorporating interactive elements like thought-provoking questions. I break down complex concepts with visual aids and relate them to real-world scenarios using hands-on activities, experiments, and problem-solving sessions to reinforce learning. Regular Q&A sessions provide immediate clarification, while a summary at the end reinforces key points.

The teaching approach I adopt is adaptable, recognizing diverse learning styles, and fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere. I make the content relatable by connecting abstract concepts to everyday experiences and current events. I communicate clearly, encourage active participation, and offer positive reinforcement. Accessibility is crucial, with the provision of additional help and resources for self-directed learning. I Integrate technology for virtual labs and multimedia presentations, and leverage online platforms for communication and resource sharing. Demonstrate experiments when possible, emphasizing real-world applications and connections to various fields.

My assessment methods are be diverse, including quizzes, projects, and presentations, with constructive feedback provided. Finally, I create a continuous feedback loop, adjusting the teaching approach based on student responses, and celebrate students' successes and efforts. Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a student-centered focus contribute to an effective and enjoyable chemistry learning experience.

To me it is pertinent that I work according to the students learning pace, while motivating them to step out of their comfort zone and overcome certain objectives or obstacles they thought were impossible.
