I have over 5 years online experience teaching English

I have over twenty years teaching experience in Thailand, England, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Italy and Poland. Teaching students of all ages in individual and group lessons. Although most of my teaching has been in English and ESL I have also taught PE, Health and Social studies.

At all the International Schools I have worked at I have taught the English National Curriculum and have spent a year teaching IB Diploma.I have six years’ experience teaching IGCSE as a 1st and 2nd Language, two years’ experience teaching IGCSE English literature and three years teaching experience as an EAL teacher. I have nearly two years’ experience teaching IPC at Netherlands Inter-community School in Jakarta and taught exclusively inquiry based learning to Early years as the PE coordinator. I also have four years experience teaching SEN students in Thailand and Vietnam.

My lessons are usually done on Zoom and consist of an introduction and a warm up activity. Followed by teaching the main objective of the lesson. Then written, spoken or listening exercises to check the students understanding. A warming down activity based on what was taught that lesson, setting homework for the next lesson if required. Then conclude the lesson. I always make sure my lessons are based on my students current knowledge of English, drawing on their strengths and strengthening their weaknesses.
