Advert description
I have had to imbibe knowledge both on a one-to-one basis and in a group. Being a chemistry major, I have this excitement about explaining to my students how interesting chemistry as a course is and also how it has a connection with our day-to-day activities, down to our kitchen and the very reactions taking place when we cook, do the dishes, and eat our food. One major way I prefer to teach is by taking the theme of discussion from the known to the unknown as well as relating it to examples we probably see all around us. For example, pouring orange juice on a white material to explain a type of change that takes place during a reaction in chemistry or showing a rusted metal object to explain a chemical change could paint a lasting picture in the memory of the learner of what a chemical change or an irreversible process looks like. Also, inclusiveness is a prerequisite to making a lasting impact because everyone needs to be carried along in the learning process for the goal to be achieved.
