Advert description
My name is Neil Smith and I’m from Co Wicklow, Ireland. I lived in South Korea from 2010 to 2021 and I studied the Korean language for many years. After teaching music and English for several years my Korean language skills helped me to find other opportunities in the wonderful city of Seoul. I worked in many exciting positions such as a Korean speaking presenter on television programs which are still being broadcasted on Netflix, teaching cooking classes through Korean and performing as a self managed musician at concerts and festivals all over the country. After learning Korean simply by speaking with my Korean wife, her family and my friends, I decided to take my language studies to a more academic level. I completed the TOPIK II exam in 2019 and I achieved a grade of 3.
After a wonderful experience in Seoul I decide to pursue my next dream of becoming a doctor at the age of 37. In order to achieve this my wife and I moved to Varna, Bulgaria together nearly two years ago. I decided to pursue a career in medicine and train to be a doctor so I am currently attending Varna medical university. I’m almost at the end of my second year of studying.
I would be very grateful for an opportunity to share the language skills that I worked so hard to achieve. I am very motivated to help other students achieve their goals while studying Korean. I am also very keen to maintain my connection to the country of my in-laws who we visit once a year in Seoul. If I can be of any assistance please feel free to get in touch.
