Advert description
Hello! I'm Andie, and I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English Literatures. Currently, I am working towards my PhD in Anglo-Irish Literature and am honoured to be a doctoral scholarship recipient.

Throughout my academic journey, I've consistently excelled since my A-levels, which have served as models for future learning. I also teach at a private school, where I support students preparing for 11+ and 13+ exams, and I also specialise in GCSE, A-Level, and university-level English.

With over 200 lessons taught both in person and online, I have a proven track record of helping aspiring students improve their grades.

What differentiates me is my friendly and approachable nature; I strive to be understanding and kind, and I aim to make learning enjoyable. Through literature, we can explore the influence of history and culture on human experience.

My passion for literature comes from its power to connect people across different times and places, promoting empathy and critical thinking.

I aspire to motivate my students not only to appreciate the beauty of language, but also to engage in deep textual analysis and foster meaningful discussions in the classroom.

I provide a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to explore their thoughts and ideas. By using a variety of teaching methods, I help students improve their analytical skills, fostering a love for literature that I hope will stay with them for a lifetime.

Andie is a great teacher. She helped me understand literature, especially poetry, which was hard for me before. She spent extra time explaining things until I got it. She also read my essays carefully and told me how to make them better. Because of her, my grades got much better. She even helped me outside of class time! This shows that she really cares about her students and wants them to succeed.
