Depending on what the student wants to achieve or how much time I have with the student, I take the following approaches:
- short amount of times; I will mostly concentrate on past exam papers, where I go through questions and answer with the students input. Once I feel that they understand the topic, they will do one question alone and we move on. Then the rest of the questions are given as homework, to ensure that the majority of time is spent teaching.
- longer amounts of time; I will run through a summary of the topics already learnt in school for revision while incorporating relevant exam questions. Then carry on to teach the rest of the specification, weaving in exam questions where every topic ends.
