Advert description
I teach maths from KS3 to KS5 (including Further Maths A Level). In addition, I teach I/GCSE and IB. I am passionate about the successful teaching and learning of mathematics that aims to be inclusive and rewarding. I have started a YouTube Channel that supports my teaching in school, online, and beyond. I have led schools and their team leaders, specialising in mathematics as a Mathematics Education Adviser. I have 25 years of mathematics teaching experience, and I was an Academic Quality Improvement Officer (AQIO), lead mathematics coordinator, school and department lead teacher, a Key Stage 4 (GCSE), 5 (A/S level), and Statistics GCSE coordinator. I have proven to raise achievement at Key stages 4 and 5 with outstanding pass rates as I have gone through the UPS. As a raising achievement coordinator, I set up interactive Web-based learning (WBL) for online assessment and homework, significantly raising the profile of mathematics and school achievement results. As a result, parental involvement increased with the consistent monitoring and tracking of student progress. I mentor, pedagogically guide, work with, and support other teachers to share and develop best practices. My approach is reflective and supported by research evidence, shared teacher observation, what works in context, and the ability to listen to others. I build towards high standards of attainment by improving pre-requisite skills and knowledge required by teachers to have high expectations of their students.
