I have a guitar teacher’s Licentiate diploma from London College of Music and a PGCE (with Qualified Teacher status). I have an enhanced DBS and am a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors. I was an examiner for London College of Music/RGT grades and diplomas for electric, acoustic, bass guitar and ukulele. I have taught privately and in a variety of schools for over a decade.
If you are a complete beginner or someone who has been playing for years but has reached a plateau, then please get in touch. Lessons are tailored to suit your taste in music and desired goals. I will then guide you step by step to enable you to reach those musical goals. Whether it’s simply to play the music you love, play in a band, enlarge your musicality or gain grades to study music at University. My specialism is learning to improvise and crate/develop your own style and music. I am a singer/songwriter and play in a duo called Sweet Joni. I compose my own finger style pieces and one of those reached the finalist stage of the UK songwriting competition (Brit Trust).
