I teach PIANO, GUITAR, and UKULELE to all ages and I teach all levels and styles. I’m very friendly and easy to get along with :)

I teach according to your interests. If you’re not sure what you’re interested in, we can work with that too. If you want to learn to read music, we can absolutely do that, however it isn’t required. If you want to study for a conservatory exam, we can absolutely do that. If you just want to learn to play some pop tunes, no problem! If you want to learn how to improvise, let’s do it!

I have about 25 students currently on 3 different instruments and they are all doing something different in their lessons as they all have different needs and interests.

Some students enjoy the time they have with me each week and don’t practise much outside of lessons. Perhaps they are busy adults and lessons are merely a guarantee that they get some music learning in each week. Of course, they learn less than those who dedicate more time, but they are happy with that, and that’s fine! Others are studying for conservatory exams and require a stricter practice regimen, and that’s great! Some of my students are already accomplished musicians but want to learn to improvise or learn about jazz or other styles they are less familiar with. I love teaching all of these students and I love connecting with people through music. It is my favourite thing!

I believe that the best learning occurs when you are interested in the material that you’re learning. A lot of the technical aspects of learning music are actually contained in the songs that you know and love. However, I would also be thrilled to introduce you to new music that you might not know, if you are looking to expand your musical horizons.
