I currently work as a professional chef, I cook for dinner parties and private events, weddings and parties. I also teach adults and children cookery lessons in Brighton.
I am studying for a nutrition qualification, so can help you create nutricionally balanced dishes. I have lots of experience cooking for and adapting recipes for various dietary and requirements, such as gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan, halal, diabetic and low carb diets.
My lessons are extensive but also fun and playful, packed full of tips and tricks to help you with your general cooking skills. I teach with an emphasis on intuitive cooking - learning to trust your taste and senses, how to flavour and balance your dishes, and increase your general confidence in the kitchen.
My classes are bespoke to you, but previous classes have been focused on - knife skills, slow cooking, how to cook tofu, sugar-free baking, cake decorating, chocolate skills, gluten-free cooking, vegetarian feasts, curries, French cuisine, vegan food, Persian, Medditeranian, Asian Cuisines, Thai food and desserts.
I also worked in a therapeutic children's home for five years, where I engaged young people who had behavioural and emotional difficulties in cooking activities.
