Advert description
I am a 25-year-old Psychology Masters' graduate from the University of Sussex who loves playing and teaching the guitar! I have been playing for seven years in total and teaching acoustic and electric guitar lessons in Warsaw for the past two years, but I have just returned to the UK and moved to Brighton. Previously to my time in Poland I worked as a support worker and as a one-to-one SEN teaching assistant, using my guitar as music therapy for non-verbal service users in the first position and teaching groups of SEN children to play in the second.
Working with people with learning disabilities is my passion, although absolutely anyone is welcome to take my guitar lessons! Currently, my youngest student is seven and my eldest is 45. I tailor my teaching approach to the student based on their age and what sort of music they love, and I aim to give students the practical and theoretical tools to create their own music. With children I tend to incorporate more games to make it fun, as I want them to be able to appreciate making music as a hobby rather than a chore! I also offer discounted prices on group lessons, for instance if a few friends or multiple members of a family want to attend the same lesson.
I do offer online lessons, but I think in-person lessons are much more effective, especially for absolute beginners. If you are able to, then I definitely recommend taking the sessions with me in-person. I am willing to travel pretty much anywhere in Brighton, so please contact me if you're interested and I'll get back to you ASAP!
