We would start by finding what the weaker points are in the chosen subject, in this way we can work backwards and be more effective. Communication is the key element in my teaching as I would want to talk to my students about the work rather than talking at them. We would have interactive lessons, where their opinion matters the most. Speaking out loud about topics builds up confidence and it creates a safe space. Once the pupils gain passion for the subject, this will reflect in their writing, improving their results, which will, therefore, increase their self-esteem and lead to an open mindset, boosting future grades. It’s a beautiful domino effect!
