Experience: Teaching Primary and Secondary pupils from Foundation to Year 13 including SEN students, in a variety of schools, covering all subjects in the UK and abroad. Following the Curriculum of each lesson, planning, delivering and assessing of work using resources and devices such as IPADS, Laptops, Interactive white boards, digital projectors, and others.
Building relationships with pupils where they feel comfortable, confident, and able to talk with me regarding concerns/worries and whereby I am able to help them. Also specialising in Physical Education and Sport.
Other attributes: Courses involving: Psychology and Mental Health, Counselling, Supporting EAL Students in lessons, Sport, Fitness and Health as well as well as global and travel experience, volunteering and mental health benefits.
Personal experience of Mental Health conditions, workplace harassment and bullying – all of which I can apply in my support with others (including my social swimming group!)
Mental Health understanding based on my own experiences of Depression and Anxiety, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling, various support groups online and in person.
As a teacher and person I am a reflective, kind, and compassionate individual, teacher and middle leader who wants the best for all. I am resilient; able to prioritise tasks and work quickly under pressure. I have a positive outlook and a great sense of humour and currently volunteer with the RSPCA, spending time with animals following specific procedures and criteria. I enjoy myself outdoors, walking, cycling, or helping at the local allotment and fully understand the benefits that this has mon mental and physical health and the impact this has on everything else including the ability to learn and function positively.
