I believe my experience and skills could be a good match for this position. I have over 10 years experience practicing and teaching yoga. I undertook my teacher training in Cairns, Australia under the guidance of Master teacher, Nicky Knoff.
I have achieved 200 & 500 hour (RYT) and am competent and trained to teach many yoga styles – Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar Kundalini and Qi.
My focus is on safe, structured practice with correct anatomical alignment.
I have been teaching yoga, part-time since 2015, both in-person and online (via Zoom or Teams).
I cater for all abilities and ages and have taught all age groups. I am always happy to adjust my classes to suit my students abilities.
I generally teach a class in five segments:-
1. Meditation (non-religious)
2. Pranayama – breathing exercises for vitality
3. Asana – anatomically aligned, structurally balanced
4. Relaxation – how to deal effectively with stress
5. Philosophy – positive, uplifting and life affirming
