Psychology tutor with first class degree in BSc psychology, experience with teaching, flexible timing

Advert description
Hello! I'm a 22yr old recent graduate, with great passion for and knowledge of psychology. I would love to help you understand just how fascinating this subject can be, once you grasp what it's all about.

I first discovered my love for psychology during my A-Levels, where I earned an A* and placed second in my year. I developed strong skills in essay writing and structuring, which I know are essential for success in this subject. In addition to my studies, I ran the psychology society at my sixth form, organizing events with guest speakers, including professors and therapists, to give students an inside look into the field. Alongside this, I also studied mathematics at sixth form, which gives me the confidence and ability to explain the statistical aspects of psychology, something many students find tricky.

During my time at Durham University, my grasp of psychological writing, concepts, and statistics only strengthened. I was able to conduct my own research, meaning I can explain first-hand how research is executed. I have also had the privilege of taking part in many psychology studies, so can offer a unique, participant-centered perspective when explaining theories and research.

I am relatively new to tutoring, but absolutely have the skills and passion necessary. During sixth form, I had some experience tutoring a year 12 student in mathematics, which helped to improve her exam grades. Over the past few months, I have been working as a teaching assistant in a special educational needs school. This role has taught me a lot; patience, adaptability, and the importance of creating a supportive learning environment.

I am confident in my understanding and ability to explain all the wonderful topics covered in GCSE or A-Level psychology. If you are looking for a patient, engaging tutor to make psychology clear and interesting, please get in touch!
