The natural world and the secrets that surround it has always fascinated me. I have always been the type of person who wonders why things are the way they are and how they came to be that way, which made me passionate about exploring Biology ever since I was a child. As I grew up, I came across some bacterial species that piqued my interest in Microbiology. I chose Microbiology as my major because of my desire to be a lifelong learner. The abundance of research opportunities within the department fascinates me, along with the subject's increasing relevance with other aspects of sciences such in terms of understanding diseases, developing unique and novel ways to save the environment. As a committed MSc microbiology student at the University of Aberdeen and a recent graduate of the Master of Applied Microbiology program, I have a strong desire to use my skills and knowledge in the cutting-edge field of contemporary medicine. My desire to advance my career motivates me to look for a demanding position in a respectable company where I can further develop my skills.
