Advert description
Hello, my name is Jason, and I am a Research Psychologist.
Before my return to education, I had a long and successful career in IT. I was an IT/IS manager for a very large market research company (Network Research and Marketing Limited) in London and Director of Operations for PC Solutions. During this time, I worked on high-level projects for diverse clients, including the National Library of Wales, the Thompson Group, the House of Lords, Microsoft, Intel, and Volvo.
I returned to university to undertake a BSc in Counselling Studies and Psychology (BPS approved). Leaving with a First Class (Hons) degree, I then achieved a distinction in Research Methods in Psychology (MSc), and as of October 2019 I am working towards a PhD in “Detection and Prevention of Online Child Sexual Abuse: Understanding children’s vulnerabilities and strengths”, researching my first book on “Parametric and non-parametric tests by hand” as well as providing consulting services in relation to protecting children from being groomed online.
Post degree, I worked within the charity sector for Wales’s primary mental health charity Hafal, working on a stakeholder-inspired, National Lottery-funded project advising the current Welsh Government administration, the NHS and organisations within the public and private sector on mental health policies in relation to psychological (talking) therapies.
