Specialising in Criminology, Gemma returned to education as a mature student, achieving a first-class honours in Criminology and Psychology with the Open University. Continuing post-graduate studies, Gemma has achieved a merit in Principles of social and psychology inquiry, specialising in social science research methods and is progressing towards the completion of her Masters degree in Crime and Justice.
Gemma is currently working as a statistics and research officer, specialising in data analysis and research in the area of gender-based violence in Northern Ireland.
Gemma’s areas of expertise are in criminological theories and concepts, introduction to criminology and Crime, Harm and the State. Having experience with the Open University, current OU students may find Gemma’s experience and expertise valuable.
