Advert description
As a native Italian speaker with a strong academic background in science and extensive experience in mentoring and tutoring, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to help student achieve their academic goals.
My passion for teaching has been evident through my previous roles as a volunteer in various education settings, ranging from schools, teaching hospitals and research centres. During my time at Sawston Village College, where I mentored students in preparation for their Maths exam, I learned how to adapt my teaching method to suit different learning needs. Also, my role as a volunteer English teacher helper at the EDUCO Summer Camp involved assisting both the English teachers and the non-English students. Overall, these and other experiences listed in my Curriculum Vitae have greatly improved my patience and ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner throughout the years.
Additionally, being a young researcher currently doing my PhD in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, I have engaged in a wide range of educational materials and workshops, which have further enhanced my interest in teaching and commitment to education.
I am keen to bring my expertise in language instruction, combined with my enthusiasm for innovative teaching methods to your esteemed platform. I am excited to offer a student-centred approach, where interactive learning and critical thinking will be the fundamentals to my method. I am confident that my background and skills will enable me to make a significant impact on the tutees’ learning experience.
As a native Italian speaker who came to the United Kingdom for my education starting from A-levels, I understand the challenges of both learning a new language and mastering complex scientific subjects (especially in a second-language)! Whether you want to learn Italian or excel in science, I am here to guide you with patience and clarity!!
