Growing up, l was fortunate to have educators who inspired and motivated me to pursue my academic interests.
Their guidance and support instilled in me a deep appreciation for the value of education and the profound impact that teachers can have on their students' lives. From an early age, l discovered my passion for learning and teaching, eagerly sharing my knowledge with classmates and friends. This innate desire to educate others fueled my academic pursuits and ultimately led me to pursue a career in secondary education.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Accountancy at University of Maiduguri.
During my time at University, l immersed myself in coursework that provided me with a comprehensive understanding of educational theory, pedagogical approaches and classroom management strategies. Through hands-on experience in practicum placements, l honed my teaching skills and developed a deep appreciation for the complexities of meeting the diverse needs of students.
After gruaditing, I embarked on a journey of gain practical experience in the field of education. I secured a position as a subject teacher at Ored College, where l had the opportunity to work closely with students in a secondary school setting. In this role, l facilitated engaging lessons, designed instructional materials and provided individualized support to students with diverse learning needs. I collaborated with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and participated in professional development opportunities to enhance my skills as an educator.
Additionally, l volunteered as a tutor at a local community center, where l worked with students from undeserved backgrounds to improve their academic skills and foster a love of learning. This experience reinforced my belief in the transformative power.
