Advert description
I am a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Warwick and have been tutoring for over a year.
As a mechanical engineering student, I have undergone extensive coursework in mathematics and physics. I possess a strong foundation in these subjects, from calculus and differential equations to mechanics and thermodynamics. This enables me to be able to understand key topics that may be difficult for students and be able to explain them in a clear and concise manner.
My experience in my degree means that I have seen many of the practical applications of the content that students learn in school. Oftentimes, students may become frustrated with subjects like maths and physics as they are unable to see where this is applicable in their day-to-day lives. My lessons will involve bridging the gap between the theory they are learning and showing students how this knowledge can impact their daily lives. I may also question students to see whether they may be able to think of practical applications themselves.
Having been through the challenges of school myself I can empathise with students who may be frustrated or feel anxious towards difficult topics. Therefore, I am to create an empathetic and supportive environment in which students can develop confidence in themselves and their abilities in order for them to maximise their potential.
My background as a mechanical engineer means that I am well suited towards imparting my knowledge in Maths and Physics. I am to create a supportive, challenging and rewarding for students looking to succeed to the best of their abilities.
