I can help you with developing your observational drawing skills by teaching you to draw & look more accurately at your subject matter. I can work with your interests & passions & help you to develop your own creative style. I can help develop your use of different media & I will encourage you to work outside of your comfort zone in order for you to develop both technically & in terms of creative output. I will help you to think about your ideas, utilize sketchbook work in order to practice & experiment with techniques & ideas. I will encourage critical thinking in order for you to really analyze what is going on with your developing piece & the creative directions it could go in, discussion will play a big part. We will look at art history both traditional & contemporary in order for you to gain further inspiration. I will encourage you to research ideas & discuss these as well as create thumb nails in your sketch book. We will look at the formal components of your work in regards to the elements & principles of design. I can help develop your use of different media & teach you techniques in order to master these & gain confidence. I am a good listener, whom is student centered in my teaching approach & will work at a pace that suits you & with subject matters that interest you. I have over 20 years experience of teaching art & I really believe that anyone can draw & achieve great creative results!!
