Advert description
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the daunting tasks of writing essays, preparing for exams, getting through reading lists? I'm here to help!
I am an experienced academic coach providing personalised mentoring and support to students. Over the past five years I have helped students enhance their academic skills and achieve better outcomes. I have a BSc in Psychology from the University of Birmingham, a Masters and PhD in Criminology from the University of Cambridge, and postdoctoral research experience in Social Work from the University of Melbourne. As a result of this experience I understand first hand the unique needs and skills required for students to thrive in higher education.
I have experience working as an undergraduate supervisor, mentor, and outreach officer in the University of Cambridge. The training and qualifications I received during my time in these roles has equipped me with knowledge and pedagogical tools needed to effectively support and mentor students.
During my time working as an academic coach and tutor I have developed a particular interest in supporting students in higher education who face barriers such as mental health conditions and specific learning difficulties. I work with these students to manage challenges like anxiety, stress, concentration issues, and time management.
The world of study can be an incredibly lonely and intimidating place, something I have experienced firsthand. However, I firmly believe that everyone can thrive with the right support and guidance.
