About My Teaching Philosophy and interventions employed to encourage students passion for science

I teach physics and integrated science in Ghana senior high school (Ghana) for 6 years now. I teach grade 10, 11 & 12 students age range; 12 - 18years.

I am a teacher who believe that students learn better when they are actively engaged in hands-on activities, practical oriented activities and exposure to Computer-Assisted Instructions (CAI). Students understand the concepts in science better when they are taught with technological tools like simulation software (PhET), virtual laboratory software, interactive video tutorials and PowerPoint presentations as well as active engagement in practical and hands-on activities.
I combined all these strategies in teaching a number of concepts in the physics.

My lessons are organized in democratic setting. There is higher display of equity and equality in my class. Every students voice is counted and regarded as important. I always allow students to voice-out his or her taught or idea in every lessons I have in class. I therefore quickly detect when a student is absent or is underperforming in my class.

I allow critic in my class. I let my students know that no one is perfect, a teacher is not a moving cyclopedia. Everyone has the right to express his or her taught so far physics is concern. I am affable teacher who share students sentiment when they are struggling in physics. I am a young man who can withstand tuition for more than four hours.

I love to ask students questions, actively engage them in exercise, assignment and presentation. I teach to relate real-life experiences to classical concept in class. This method I used to enhance the understanding of physics concepts in my students.
I wish to meet my students very early to familiarize with them, study ourselves and observe rules and regulations during lessons before lesson begins.

ABOUT MY ACADEMIC POTENTIAL
I have being teaching 15 years now.
I taught 5 years elementary, 4 years middle school and 6 years secondary
I hold two masters degrees all in science. Latest was Master of philosophy in science
I studied and practice virtual tuition back at University
I did a number of academic presentations and interview by virtual means
My academic research-thesis was about teaching and learning with the use of Computer-Assisted Instruction- CAI, which is a tool for virtual tuition.
