I used to be a private tutor back home to several students from kindergarten till grade 6. I taught them the whole agenda for the week on daily basis and pointed out their strengths and weaknesses; supported them with their weaknesses and praised their strengths to boost their confidence and make them excel at school, whist developing their personality.
