I am a Spanish - English Interpreter with more than 10 years of solid experience in the Financial, Educational, Medical, Law Enforcement and Government industry. My experience in this field, has now, led me to become a Language Proficiency Tester in Spanish and English for companies based in the US.

My passion for languages started while studying at the American School in Lima from where I graduated from High School. I enjoy learning new skills and love working with people. This is why in 2012, I decided to study Methodology and obtained the TEFL certificate in order to formalize my teaching knowledge.

Although I have been somehow involved in teaching since I was around 15, it is not until 2012 that I was able to understand how valuable and rewarding it is, to share and transfer the knowledge of a language to another person and break barriers of communication. Nowadays, working hand-by-hand with technology is even more exciting and rewarding since it allows us to meet people from all over the world and learning from each other, which, indeed, is definitely enriching.
 
In the last few years, I have focused mainly in teaching Medical and Business English to adults in different schools and companies; handling large, small and individual classes, however, I am open to new challenges and would love to have the opportunity to teach in a different environment, with young learners and acquire new ways of teaching.

Being a Program Director for Cultural Exchange programs in Cusco, has also given me a different perspective of multicultural awareness. Working in regions with limited resources and in a culture where people are more reserved and cautious has been very challenging, particularly when trying to teach conversational classes.

The reason why I want to become part of the team, is because I truly believe that learning new skills is important, and in a world of constant change, new tools in teaching is valuable, not only for us the teachers, but for the students who are looking to expand in their career and educational success.

On the other hand, what I can bring to the team, is my experience, but most important, my passion for languages, enthusiasm in learning new methodologies and the commitment that I will always respect and look in the best interest of the students’ learning goals.
