Advert description
Hi! I’m a university student currently studying Astrophysics and Geology, who is available to tutor Geography and Science to students studying at GCSE level and below.
I am a beginner tutor, with the passion for encouraging teens to succeed in Geography, despite any previous struggles in the classroom. I myself struggled in a classroom environment, and I utilised a private tutor in order to pass my GCSEs to get into college (this has lead me onto university study now). I found Geography to be an amazing interdisciplinary subject, that has given me skills that I still use today in my degree course. I am flexible, and open to suggestion as to which particular topics need to be practised.
I am also able to help with science topics spanning chemistry, biology, and particularly physics; as I believe these subjects can crossover into geography, and can help give a student a different perspective on similar topics across both subjects.
My qualifications include GCSE’s in Maths, Combined Science, Geography, and English Language; BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Applied Science; and an 84.7% grade average in all Geo-Science related modules at university so far. I am also the student voice representative, which involves meetings with university staff to discuss module structure, and the ways in which the modules are taught.
I’d love to guide someone who loves Geography as much as I do, or better still, spark a new found interest in the subject!
