As a brief introduction to my educational background, I became a Chemical Engineer in 2003 and worked as a Chemical Engineer until 2009 when I decided to become a teacher. Since then I have spent time and resources to become a Secondary School Teacher. I value high quality education and that is why I opted for two masters degrees in education: Master de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y Bachillerato, FP y Enseñanza de Idiomas at the Universidad de Salamanca and also a Master de Enseñanza de Español offered by Universitat de Barcelona.
Because of these two degrees, I was granted Qualified Teaching Status by the Teaching Agency in England and most recently I was offered provisional registration by the General Teaching Council of Scotland in the subjects of Mathematics, Chemistry and other related subjects.
I have accrued thousands of hours teaching Spanish for specialised language training providers and the initial training programme included teaching chemistry in a secondary school environment. Please refer to the attached CV for complete details about my experience and professional profile. Since I moved to Scotland in 2012, I have worked as a Spanish Lecturer for NES College and I also I started my own Spanish tutoring business, created my own website and I am currently teaching to almost twenty students of all ages. I have been tutoring National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher to pupils around Aberdeenshire for more than 6 years (Aberdeen Grammar School, Alford Academy, Westhill Academy, Cults Academy, Albyn School).
I worked in Lochside Academy (Aberdeen) since January 2022 to April 2022, teaching Spanish to S1-S4 groups, this work has provided my with valuable skills when it comes to classroom management, lesson planning and more contact with students.
Because of my broad working experience, I am sure that I can support the curriculum with experiences and outcomes that will make the subject interesting to my students and I can use specialised techniques and activities to convey difficult subjects in an approachable way.
In May 2022 I moved to Stockton on Tees and since then I have been working as a Supply Teacher in different school around the area (Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Redcar…)
