Tutor for those completing OCR A-Level Psychology

Advert description
In 2023 I completed my OCR Psychology A-Level and achieved an A grade, as well as earning the achievement of 'Psychology Student of the Year' at my Sixth-Form. This means I naturally have a multitude of my own resources and revision techniques that have been tried and tested to achieve success.

The dynamic of my lessons is very client-specific and centered around the needs of my tutee. Firstly, there is a free introductory lesson where we get acquainted with each other and I learn of the position you're in, your strengths and your weaknesses. Should you be interested to be tutored by me from there, I then draw up a lesson plan consolidating what you already know, teaching you what you may not yet understand and preparing you for how you would need to apply your knowledge into an exam. These lesson plans can consist of 1-3 lessons per week over either 6/8/10 weeks depending on how long you feel you need, and how often you feel lessons would benefit you.

My lessons are over Zoom, with the content deriving from multiple sources such as pre-made Powerpoints, Word Documents or Flashcards. These lessons are also fairly interactive, which means that as much as there may be one-way explanation of the content in order for you to initially digest the material, there will also be engaging tasks given to consolidate this knowledge, and aid your understanding in how the knowledge will be relevant in an exam scenario. There will also be past-paper run-throughs, where I go through a past-paper with you, explain what an ideal thought process should be for certain questions and complete the past-paper to achieve an ideal 100% mark.

My main strengths as a tutor are that:
- I have a deep base understanding of the subject.
- I am good at explaining complex ideas in a simple manner, without missing crucial pieces of detail needed to achieve higher marks.
- I have recent experience of the subject and know what examiners/teachers look for when answering exam questions.
