Advert description
Bryony is a maths graduate and an experienced secondary maths teacher. Bryony not only loves maths herself, but is passionate and talented at teaching it too. She taught in a Cornish secondary school from-moving into private tuition at the end of 2022.
Students blossom under one to one tuition, it is a very different experience to the classroom. Students quickly learn they can ask for explanations to be repeated, slowed down, told in a different way. Bryony`s aim is for students to feel success in each session. When students feel they are truly learning, their confidence and motivation rise.
Send Bryony an enquiry, she is always happy to discuss individuals needs, concerns and goals.

Reuben had missed quite a lot of the stepping stones needed for maths due to illness and then the pandemic, his confidence had really suffered. Bryony was recommended through a teacher at school and after an initial chat Reuben started an hour a week`s tuition…and hasn`t looked back. He has flourished under the one to one teaching. He is comfortable to ask any questions and knows that anything he doesn`t understand will be tackled in different ways until he has mastered it. Reuben looks forward to his lessons, has grown so much in confidence and ability and now classes himself not only good at maths but actually likes the subject! I would recommend Bryony to anyone who needs extra tuition, but especially to the students who have lost confidence in themselves. Bryony is so encouraging, supportive and has a great way of making maths fun and achievable.

Since starting lessons with Bryony, my daughter has remembered how much she loves maths. She is more confident and willingly participates in the lessons. Thank you Bryony for your patience and involvement!

Oscar has been homeschooled for over a year now and we have always struggled with keeping him up to date with Maths especially as it`s quite different now compared to when we were at school. I am very happy with how well she understands Oscar and what works and what does not work for him. Bryony has always been very lovely, friendly and approachable with an amazing knowledge of how to teach maths in a way that children can understand.
