History Graduate tutoring History for GCSE and A Level Students

Advert description
As a recent History graduate from the University of Sheffield, I have a fresh and diverse knowledge of history that I feel I am able to share through my passionate and engaging style of teaching. Classes will be uniquely fit to the preferences of the student, and what exam board and topic are in question. No matter what the module is, my research and preparation to teach the content will be first-rate in order to be as equipped as possible, especially if it is a topic I have not studied in a few years. My knowledge of history is wide reaching, and I am committed to doing everything possible to help students achieve their full potential in their GCSE and A-Levels. I know exactly what it takes to sit these exams, having obtained an 8 at History GCSE and A* at A-Level. Lessons will consist of a combination of content teaching and exam preparation, as I believe the best way to teach is to build a lesson around a question, enabling the student to work towards answering exam-style questions, throughout the year, but particularly at the latter stages of the course. Using the relevant exam board and mark scheme, I will make answering questions as straight forward as possible, breaking down questions into manageable sections and helping the student to feel prepared for any question that could come up. From past experience as a student, I know that the best lessons are interactive and therefore I will make my lessons as engaging and conversational as possible. I will encourage as many questions as possible throughout the lesson, to facilitate a learning experience that primarily stems from the student's side, rather than me delivering a one-way lecture throughout the duration of the lesson.
