Experienced Biology Teacher GCSE, A level and IB (online, in person, individually or small groups)

With over 23 years working as a classroom teacher in both independent and state schools, I have extensive experience both in the coaching of students who require extra support or the preparation of students to enable them to reach their true potential in their GCSE, A-level or IB exams. Having also worked in the veterinary and microbiology industries I pride myself in "bringing biology to life" using applied examples so that students are able to understand how the theory they are learning relates to everyday examples (an approach that is now a focus within exam papers). I am happy to tutor individual students or as a small group of friends either online or in person within your own home or mine.

In addition, I also work as an AQA examiner which gives me the advantage of fully understanding the nuances of mark schemes and syllabus focus . This enables me to ensure students fully appreciate how to approach exam questions and perfect their wording so that they can gain as many marks as possible.

I have also 15 years successfully preparing students for their university medical and veterinary entrance exams including UCAT, MMI's and Cambridge ESAT.
