Aspiring GCSE/ A level maths tutor in Sheffield. Volunteered as a tutor in school and achieved a 9 at GCSE and A* at A level.

I am a confident and engaging tutor who takes pride in seeing those I teach succeed. Having always happily my school peers who needed extra support I developed a love for tutoring which I carried forward into my volunteer work as a tutor at school. While this was only for a brief period, I quickly developed a connection with the student I was teaching and adapted my teaching for them. I listen to the student to hear what they want to focus on at the end of every session and cater my next lesson to address this using PowerPoints or a whiteboard as well as keeping an eye out as I am teaching them to notice areas that I think are weaker for them. I have an engaging style as I emphasise the importance of them being comfortable to ask as many questions as they need and making sure I do my best to address them or to do my own research following the lesson if they ask a question I am not sure on.
