Personal profile: Teacher member at The Royal Statistical Society since Jan 2016. Experienced at teaching Mathematics and PE enjoying wonderful results for a wide range of different but special students. Strategy for success based on compassion, sound subject knowledge, exam techniques, enthusiasm, fun, building confidence, hard work with a smile and always a hint of luck. My career so far has been a combination of IT development and management as well as teaching Maths.
Relevant skills and experience:
• 30 years of teaching Mathematics part time for students seeking GCSE Mathematics and A-Level Mathematics qualifications, 5 years of developing strategies to teach Mathematics for students diagnosed with severe learning difficulties.
• BSc Mathematics (Division 1) – University of Salford 1984
• The Royal Statistical Society – Inducted into the Society by Professor Ray Hill as a Teacher Member in Jan 2016, membership number 128096.
