My name is Queeneth Hlophe I am 22 years old and I am from South Africa, I am A final year student doing a Bachelor of Social Sciences In Housing and I have a 120 Hour TEFL Certificate. I am a positive person who has an enthusiastic outlook on life. I love teaching and I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. If I can have a positive impact on their future, I feel I am doing my job well. I am really energetic and a great communicator, Working in the Ixopo outreach Education Centre as a maths and English tutor for 3years made me build confidence and taught me a lot about the diversity of learners, their background and level of understanding content in hand and how to help them improve and excel in their studies. I am an effective communicator, both in writing and verbally and I have a strong ability to plan and organize effectively; something which is crucial to the role of a competent teacher. I cope very well with pressure and can adapt my style of teaching methods, when needed, to deliver consistent results. I am someone who always implements effective behavior management processes in the classroom and strives on an ability to continually develop both personally and professionally. Teaching style, I would say I’m strict but fair when it comes to teaching. I believe when students are challenged with realistic goals and given the support they need not to just get the answers right but to be able to use those learnings to solve future problems on their own, everyone comes out on top. I also think that as a teacher, it’s my job to support my students through the lessons I give, but also through the various challenges they face during a lesson, and to partner with them as well as other support systems to help them feel motivated, comfortable, and happy in the classroom. My teaching style is primarily centered on class engagement. I adapt my teaching style in order to cater for everyone in class.
