I am a passionate and dedicated Science teacher with a strong academic background in life-sciences. I have done master’s from the University of Oxford and professionally practice as an IVF specialist. I have taught for years in India and moved to UK now. I have a proven ability to make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging for students at all levels, particularly up to GCSE. My dual experience in academia and the healthcare sector provides me with a unique perspective, blending theoretical knowledge with real-world applications to inspire students.
I teach Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) up to GCSE level. I aim at tailoring lessons to individual student needs, ensuring all learners understand science, successfully prepare for their exams, thereby fostering their academic growth and confidence. My knowledge of human biology and medical sciences helps me to integrate practical examples from healthcare and medical research to enrich learning, encouraging inquiry and critical thinking in students.
My teaching philosophy revolves around making complex concepts accessible by breaking them down into relatable and interactive lessons. I encourage students to ask questions, hypothesize, and explore answers, foster their curiosity, independent thinking, and a deeper engagement with scientific topics. Recognizing that every student learns differently, I tailor my lessons to suit individual learning styles and abilities. I integrate real-life examples, case studies, and discussions on current scientific advancements to make lessons more relevant and engaging. I use formative assessments throughout my lessons to gauge student understanding and provide timely feedback.
Science is inherently interdisciplinary, and I often link my lessons to topics in mathematics, technology, geography, environmental science, and incorporate data interpretation skills and discuss the global impact of current changes and technologies. Allowing students to share feedback on teaching methods or suggest topics of interest, fostering a sense of ownership in their education.
