According to your study foundations and situation, if they are beginner level, I will enhance and focus on your weak areas. If you have a strong foundation, I will take you through professional roleplay with textbook outlines and create custom testing material myself.
I am familiar with A-Level, Edexcel and IBDP formats and am happy to incorporate your personal interests to educate you, such as music, videos and cartoons.
My background:
I am a native Chinese speaker fluent in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Since I started school, Chinese has been my strongest subject, and my compositions have often been published as models throughout the school. I majored in Chinese Language and Literature at Mudanjiang Normal University in China, so I have a strong background in Chinese language and literature. While at the university, I passed the teaching qualification exam (Chinese subject) and obtained a Level 1B Mandarin certificate. At the same time, I joined the Xueyuan Poetry Club, and my poems were frequently featured in the school newspaper and on display boards.
After graduating, I was employed directly by a prestigious private high school to teach Chinese to students aged between 13 and 18. Thanks to the trust of the school management, I taught three classes with over 120 students simultaneously.
After this, I moved to the UK to study Education at the University of Southampton and attained a Master's degree. Since, I have also obtained all certificates in TESOL and am cerfied as a TESOL expert. This has given me the confidence to teach Mandarin Chinese in English to non-native speakers. In the same year, I have been teaching A-level, IGCSE and IBDP courses online after school hours, with students not only from Hong
Kong but also from the UK, and before I knew it, I had accumulated over a year of teaching experience in English as my second language.
