Maths tutor specialising in A level and GCSE

Hi, I am Imran, I am an experienced teacher with over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience, who is enthusiastic and passionate about teaching. I hold a First Class Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from King's College London and a PGCE from Institute of Education (UCL). I have also been awarded for academic excellence during my school years being from the top three students in my year for Maths, Chemistry and Physics A-levels. I am currently the course leader for both Maths A level and Further Maths A level at a leading Sixth form college near London. I am a linguist in my spare time studying various genres of the Arabic literature and a visiting lecturer at one of the most prestigious independent language schools in London.

I have a very calm and patient nature which is ideal for supporting the needs of students whatever their level may be. I enjoy tutoring as it allows me to really focus on the needs of a student and assist them in reaching their goals. Being a teacher working in a Sixth Form I have seen first-hand that the specific needs of every individual student are not always being met this being due to several factors which include contact time, class sizes and the various ability levels of students in a group. The benefits of one-to-one learning with a well-grounded tutor who is also a currently teaching and is aware of the common pitfalls of students is next to none. I aim to not only fill in this gap of learning for students but also work consistently to design a programme to meet the needs of the individual learner setting goals which are both realistic and achievable. I have seen this first hand where students I have tutored who followed my guidance went up by two or more grades just in a couple of months, a recent student went from an E grade to a B just with tuition over the summer (students who I have taught have left feedback of 5 stars). I enjoy the satisfaction of helping others improve and achieve great results.
