I'm an English Literature and Language teacher, with an added ingredient of Drama, served with a Creative Writing background!

Teaching has become a bit of a difficult task for teachers of late. There's paperwork, restrictive guidelines--and a lot of opportunities which cannot be taken. My belief is that teaching cannot be a series of delivering facts for the intention of redelivering in another form; teaching is an expression of ideas that is taken on board and used by the student. I don't like to deliver cold facts, I like to show students how to analyse texts, understand the feelings and contexts behind a piece of literature... and talk! For me, it's about conversation and investigation.
