Hello, I'm Maxine and I'm happily building confidence and resilience in the future lovely little leaders! I am a qualified, enthusiastic and experienced Primary School Teacher. I love teaching and I have over 10 years experience teaching across the Primary Curriculum in Key Stage 1 and 2.

I am offering one to one and group online tutoring. Online lessons include access to a shared whiteboard with text chat, video and microphone functions. I am able to set and mark any additional activities such as homework or revision.

I will be offering additional communication in person or via text/email to keep parents and guardians up to date with lessons and progress.

Over the past several years of tutoring, I have focused on helping students develop their understanding and confidence in Maths and English. I have tutored across Key Stage 1 and 2 for writing, phonics, reading comprehension, SPAG, and preparation for KS1 and KS2 SATs. I can support revision of topics that students have covered in school as well as introducing new topics to further their abilities.

Each tutoring service will be tailored to meet the needs and learning styles of your child, their current ability and the ways in which they are able to understand different areas of the subject. I have a wealth of experience of different learning abilities and understand that all children learn differently. I strongly believe in growth mindset and that all children can achieve.

Extra tuition can truly accelerate learning and I have witnessed first hand the positive effects it can have not only in terms of academic improvement but also in confidence and self-esteem. Through one-to-one tutoring, students can learn at a pace that suits them and they have the opportunity to ask questions they may not be able to ask at school.

My aim is to increase your child’s skills, knowledge and confidence and I plan to do this in a fun, positive and professional way. I look forward to hearing from you.
