I am an experienced and confident Japnese speaker, having lived in Japan for several years both as a student and as a teacher. Throughout my academic career I have studied a huge variety of fields related to Japanese culture, from history to economics to literature and linguistics. I have studied Japanese both as a full-time academic commitment and in my own time for over seven years now, and recently achieved the JLPT N1 ceritificate, their highest proficiency level for Japanese language. I understand the difficult challenges of learning Japanese , and draw upon my own personal experiences learning the language and help learners overcome these challenges. I think language learning should always be enjoyable, so I plan to take a light hearted and conversational approach to Japanese teaching. I believe this method can be applied to all levels and all textbooks and resources.
