On line teaching , mathematics KS2, KS3 and KS4

Advert description
I have maths and English combine honours degree. I studied PGCE Secondary maths also.

I would like to teach online up to GCSE level.

I got experience of teaching maths in school KS3 and KS4 maths . I am also confident that i can teach KS2.

I am interested to teach also Science. Science is very important subject and very useful in life.
Another subject that I would like to teach is art and design. I studied creative foundation at Hereford College of Art.

Teaching styles are very important in terms of understanding and gaining the skills in any topic. Depending on the pupils preference of the learning, adjustments are necessary for teaching styles. Some learners would rather to listen the explanations and would learn verbally. Some learners would be much more successful as they do them. In some topics it would help if the pupils are producing anything practically. In some topics pupils would learn better if they are working in pairs.

Modelling is very important in maths teaching. In so many topics in maths with very good modelling and showing few examples , pupils would be grasping the topic. Almost in every topic in maths it is essential to do chunking and have a step by step approach. In this way , it would be getting easier. Pupils wont be seeing the problem in front of them as a huge obstacle.
Pupils would also to be encourage and motivated. If it is necessary, there should be options to start from basic. it would also help to get rid of misconceptions which is very crucial in maths learning. Any misconceptions in the maths topic would ceate a big obstacle and stop pupils understanding. Misconceptions needs to be addressed in the beginning of the teaching and teacher would mention and explain the possible misconceptions straight away in the modelling stage.
Some misconceptions would be identified when the pupils work is checked and observed during pupils independent work.

Therefore from the start , I would check pupils previous knowledge to build up on hat they already know so that pupils has go the idea what would they be learning. Then in the modelling it s important to show very clear and address the possible misconceptions. After that it is important to see see how well pupils understood. To give pupils example to to themselves and check their understanding. Once they are understood to move in to the next coming step.

Kind Regards
