Advert description
My only experience of tutoring may be in teaching people hot to use camera and technical film equipment - but that doesn't undermine my ability to be highly-effective in this role.
My name is Will Sharville and I live in the South Coast of England. Having worked for over 2 years as a researcher for film and TV including multiple documentaries and series, after being at University for Film, I have become extremely used to relating ideas to all manner of people in a confident, friendly and informative way, and I'm really good at it.
I spent my time in Germany teaching English to German school kids in my early 20's and I learnt a lot there. The teachers were were enthusiastic and used games and conversation to teach their students. I believe that learning is optimally achieved when you are engaged and having fun.
Research is difficult: it involves a lot of reading and writing. I have to explain and brief cast and crew on complex subject matter, distilled into very understandable chunks. I feel this is very applicable in this case because I have to use my wording very carefully and consciously to portray the subject matter, I am good at following guides and briefs and absorbing the process of learning something new.
I have a natural flare for English, being my highest scoring subject at school and had the reading ability of a 16 year old when I was 8. I enjoy reading, writing, playing instruments and have worked in both customer service and hospitality and so have a lot of world knowledge. I am intelligent, have life experience and love English.
