Teacher who teaches How and why to study

A human would remain a student through his or her entire lifetime if he or she is interested to know more. That 'interest' to know more gets kindled if he or she knows why learning something would be beneficial or relevant. Hence, I feel that it is very essential for a student to know as to why something needs to be learnt.
