I consider each of my students to be an individual and as such I like to tailor my classes to them in such a way that they feel like they can benefit from my classes. I like to be humorous and enjoy a light and warm environment where people feel like they belong. Although in my experience in China a stricter approach is favoured I understand that the best way to promote eager learning is by allowing my students to use their own initiative and personality to express their meanings. We all communicate and consider things in different ways so engaging and encouraging my students to work on the language skills that they themselves feel comfortable with. Not all students want to learn and consider learning as a way to progress themselves academically but language is more than just a tool for education but rather it is a skill for life and living and it would be much more productive tool if we could achieve a level where the student/s could feel comfortable and competent using this skill in real life not only in the classroom. I have learned to listen to my students and adapt my teaching style to whatever suits them and helps them the most to not only to study well but enjoy to enjoy the process of gaining a strengthend ability. Education can be fun, can be enjoyable and the role of the teacher is to make the best possible environment for the students to reach their best potential.
