Medical Student teaching A-level biology via online lessons

I am currently in my second year studying Medicine at the University of Sheffield which has given me a thorough understanding of human biology.
I have had two years of tuition experience where I had helped a student excel in his Biology understanding. Alongside this I have also competed in competitions such as Biology Olympiad.
Prior to the lesson I will ask students what topic they would like to focus on for the hour, and then I would start by asking various questions related to the topic to gauge their level of understanding. I’ll then explain any areas that they don’t fully grasp, and test their knowledge by asking them to explain it in different words. Diagrams and schematics will be used where appropriate to enhance the students understanding.
I aim to create a friendly and relaxed environment where the student feels comfortable enough to ask any questions and not feel embarrassed or belittled.
In later lessons when the student has understood the concepts, we will go through some exam-style questions and make note of key words that are needed to pick up marks (a lot of A-Level Biology is studying the mark scheme ), and go through any questions they have.
