I have a person-centred approach to teaching. I have taught students between 12 and16 at an alternative provision.

I will make my teaching fun and interactive to build on fundamental knowledge. I have a graded/adaptive approach where I avoid jargon and complex theories until an appropriate time in order to keep my student engaged through achievable challenges. I am months away from completing my occupational therapy degree, where on a day to day basis, I have had the pleasure of teaching patients, carers and family complex theories and concepts in a palatable and non-patronising way. I have always had a talent for teaching things to people and have often found enjoyment in seeing someone go from a lack of awareness and knowledge to being more than competent in a certain subject/skill.
