I give lessons to students who are struggling with maths. I aim to make them confident in the subjects they struggle with but also so they have the independence of being able to answer questions on their own and not afraid to approach questions in an exam

I identify the target areas they need the most help with and then I go through questions starting from an easier one to harder questions giving examples and helping them through questions they don’t understand fully. Once they have understood the subject more I ask them to complete some questions independently but always help if they struggle. It helps me identify how well they are learning and what I need to adapt in terms of learning.
