Friendly tutor providing help with French and Spanish

I have been passionate about languages from a young age; I started learning Spanish and French at school and continued at university where I also began studying Russian and gained a distinction in spoken language. I love getting to know people and using my skills to help others grow their confidence and feel empowered.

I have previously tutored high-school students in French and Spanish, covering a range of topics and skills including grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing. The sessions were enjoyable for both the students and me, and I found this experience extremely rewarding; I helped them to feel more confident for their exams and improve their grades. As part of my degree, I spent my third year in Spain, Russia and France, where I lived with local families and students and immersed myself in the language and culture. I also worked for six years as an onboarding specialist for a tech company, where I trained French-speaking and Spanish-speaking clients (in their native languages) to set up their software and ensured that they felt comfortable using it on a day-to-day basis. After several training sessions, my clients were confident that they could use their software independently. Many of them provided very positive feedback.

My approach is tailored to each person; I am very patient and always consider an individual’s needs, learning style, aspects of the subject that they want to work on and skills that they want to develop. I find different ways of explaining subjects including visual aids and recordings. I have extensive experience of learning languages and can relate to the challenges that students face.
