I have always believed that listening teaches more than having a predetermined lesson plan. All of the teams and individuals I have led on more than 4 continents have gone on to work in fields that they are passionate about and excel in. This was down to listening then talking through what they wanted to achieve and then positively reinforcing those people to become the best version of themselves.
